A few years ago we set out to help Simpl“ify” the world of Mobile Device Management “MDM” – see what I did there. At the time, MDM was the industry buzz word and enterprises were turning to MDM providers as the end all and be all for mobility.

Fast forward to 2016, MDM only applies to a subset of the entire Enterprise Mobility Suite and has been replaced/merged with acronyms such as EMM, UEM, iOT and so on. The mobility space has evolved drastically and enterprises have shifted their device centric focus to building mobile strategies that help drive employee productivity and user engagement. Moving forward, more attention will be placed on increasing operational workflows and leveraging other tools (i.e. mobile apps, big data, identity management, etc.) to further optimize the end-user experience.

This constant shift has brought us to the conclusion that our current brand does not accurately align with our corporate identity nor does it truly represent who we are – An Enterprise Mobility Solutions and Managed Services Provider. MDM/EMM or whatever acronym Gartner decides to comes out with next will always be at the core of what we do. Our goal is to continue to help enterprises solve real live business problems through mobility. No cookie cutter approach, no gimmicks – just strong work ethic and a great group of people who love what they do.

Reasons for the name change:

  • Most people have a tough time pronouncing it (Shout out to Phil M.).
  • The MDM acronym is no longer relevant.
  • To align our brand with current and future business goals.

There will be much more exciting news about the name launch and updated product offerings in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned!
